LRH sees new Partnership with Southern Eye Associates through

Little River Healthcare has partnered with Southern Eye Associates in Harker Heights to provide eye care services to patients in the Killeen/Fort Hood area.

Robert Torres, administrator of King’s Daughter’s Clinic in Temple, is overseeing the partnership. He said the partnership went into effect Dec. 1 and the clinic will now be called Little River Healthcare Southern Eye Associates.

“This partnership allows us to provide healthcare to the patients in the western Bell County and surrounding county areas,” Torres said. “We have another eye practice in Temple that already serves the eastern part of Bell County, as well as an eye center in Rockdale, so this helps Little River to expand west and to counties west of Bell.”

The practice is currently owned by Dr. John Branch and Dr. Tommy Lucas, but the primary care physician at that location will be Dr. Max Psolka. Dr. Psolka retired from the U.S. Army in 2015 after two decades of service. He was the leading refractive surgeon in the military over the past several years, performing laser eye surgery on more than 5,000 soldiers, which allowed them to complete their military service without relying on eyeglasses.

Besides routine eye exams, the clinic also offers glaucoma, cataract and macular degeneration care and laser vision correction.

Little River Healthcare Southern Eye Associates is open Monday to Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is located at 300 E. FM 24010 Road, Ste. 109 in Harker Heights. For more information, visit
