River Place Imaging has recently added some new imaging services for Little River Healthcare patients.
Craig Davis, director of imaging services for LRH, said when the imaging center came on board with LRH, it only provided CT and MRI services, which wasn’t a comprehensive enough package to remain competitive.
“That’s why we decided to add X-ray and ultrasound to our services—to add a more comprehensive approach to Little River’s referral needs,” he said.
X-ray services went live Dec. 19, 2016, while all ultrasounds other than cardiac became available Dec. 27, 2016.
“It was important for us to expand services because we’re able to capture leakage that would have gone out to other organizations because we weren’t able to provide both X-ray and CT or MRI and ultrasound, for example,” Davis said. “Before, patients had to go elsewhere because we couldn’t provide all of these services, and we want to hold on to those patients.”
Davis said LRH patients will typically be referred to River Place Imaging by their primary care or subspecialty physicians as needed.
“We’re very excited to provide these additional services and we look forward to meeting all our patients’ referral needs as they need them,” he added.
